The led light therapy mask uses SMD LED technology to produce different wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the skin to stimulate skin cells. The LEDs emit no UV light and are perfectly safe. The Beauty By Light LED Mask produces 50 Joules per cm/2 of energy in approx. 15 minutes. This is the equivalent energy used in most light therapy skin clinics. Any less energy would not provide adequate treatment and anymore would over stimulate your skin cells.
NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT (850 nm) – Light is known to promote healing and rejuvenation in skin cells, relieve pain, reduce muscle spasms, aid in the recovery of nerve function, and reduce the appearance of scars.
RED (630 nm) – Powerful light increases blood circulation and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to achieve a firmer and smoother skin texture, minimise fine lines and wrinkles, and fight signs of ageing.
BLUE (470 nm) – Anti-bacterial healing light provides natural treatment for acne and scarring, kills bacteria, and soothes sensitive skin inflammations.
GREEN (520 nm) – Therapeutic light improves and balances skin tone, reduces excessive redness and puffiness, eases mental stress, helps dull pain sensitivity, and reduces hyper-pigmentation to enhance skin appearance.
YELLOW (590 nm) – Anti-aging light excellent for extremely sensitive skin, gently stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture and appearance of wrinkles, soothes rosacea, reduces redness, boosts immunity, and inhibits melanin production to brighten skin.
CYAN (490 nm) – Gentle light helps enhance cell energy, improve skin clarity, fight dry, tight skin and flakiness, reduce inflammation, and calm acne and other skin irritations.
PURPLE (415 nm – 630 nm) – Offering the combined benefits of red and blue light phototherapy, this natural conditioning light improves lymphatic drainage, reduces puffiness and fatty deposits under eyes and skin, promotes skin renewal and cell regeneration, and aids in healing and repairing acne scarring.
WHITE (Full Spectrum) – Relaxing light, offering close to a full spectrum, reduces emotional and mental stress, stimulates healing and skin cell growth, enhances skin tone, and promotes a more youthful appearance.
Only use the charger that has been supplied with the mask. Any other chargers will not provide sufficient charge and will void the warranty. Phone chargers are not suitable as they are specially designed for phones and do not meet the minimum power output requirements. Also, chargers that display both 9 volts and 5 volts, known as dual voltage chargers, cannot be used as they require our device to communicate with the charger. Our devices do not have this technology built in, and the charger will usually output 9 volts, which will damage the device or internal lithium ion battery over time. We recommend checking with us if you are unsure. Chargers can be purchased from our website.

Yes, light therapy will not interfere with your existing skin care regime.
The Beauty by Light LED Mask does not currently include separate neck or chest attachments. We are currently manufacturing dedicated neck and chest attachments that will connect directly to your existing Beauty by Light remote, with no need to purchase a new controller. Their release will be announced once available. In the meantime, the flexible silicone mask can be used on areas such as the neck, décolletage, and hands by positioning the mask over the treatment area. The mask comes included with a charger manufactured specifically for the mask. It's important to be cautious when selecting an alternative USB charger for your device, as not all chargers are suitable. Specifically, iPhone USB chargers and others may not provide the appropriate power level; either they offer insufficient power or the voltage and current exceed safe limits, potentially causing harm to your device. For optimal and safe charging, we advise using the USB charger that is included in your package that delivers 1 amps at 5 volts and features a single USB port. We also recommend charging your device immediately after use to ensure it remains powered for your needs. One of the biggest advantages of IPL is that it is far less painful than alternative methods of hair removal. Most customers explain the feeling as a warm sensation on the skin.
Our handsets have been designed to work on sensitive skin.
Most customers begin to notice a reduction of hair after just 3-4 treatments, with complete results after 12 treatments. However, results vary from person to person.
We recommend using your handset once a week for the first 12 weeks. After this period use your handset once a month, for 3 months or until satisfied. To maintain hairless smooth skin, use your handset once every 2 to 3 months, or as needed. There is no need to use it more than once a week, as IPL is only effective in the growing phase of your hair cycle.
When using the handset as recommended, side effects are rare. Redness and swelling is the most common side effect from IPL, which will quickly subside after treatment.
IPL can definitely be used on hormonal hair growth, and has proven to be quite effective.
IPL will not be suitable for you if you have epilepsy.
We recommend use for people 16 year or older.
Although there is no evidence showing that IPL has negative effects on pregnant or breastfeeding women, we still don’t recommend using our handset without speaking to your Doctor first.
You should not IPL over very dark freckles or moles, however light freckles are fine.
You should not IPL over tattoos. The light energy will be more attracted to the pigments in the skin, rather than the melanin in the hair which can cause a reaction in the skin and blistering. You should always go around your tattoos.
If you have recently been sun tanning, we recommend waiting 2 weeks before using your handset. You should wait 48 hours to tan after using your handset. The same applies for sun beds. We advise removing all artificial tan before using our handsets, as the light energy may be more attracted to the pigments in the skin, rather than the melanin in the hair. You can reapply the tan after your session once the skin has relaxed.
All forms of IPL hair removal require some maintenance, or eventually the hair will start growing back. After completing your initial sessions with our handsets you will only have to use your handset once every 3 months to maintain smooth, hairless skin.
